Prince William Sound Lodging and Whittier Water Taxi offer guided kayaking trips off their base camp vessel for lodging guests in Prince William Sound. We use Wilderness Systems 14' Pungo Angler single kayaks. These fishing kayaks are very stable and have fishing pole holders for your convenience. When your adventure calls for more than just another kayaking trip, this kayak answers that call! Get the added speed and storage of a touring kayak, but with a spacious cockpit and the option of catching your dinner from your kayak!
Another kayaking area for a sea-kayaking adventure is Nassau Fjord. You can get dropped off in Icy Bay – named that for good reason! From here you can explore the fjord leading to the mighty Chenega Glacier and the neighboring Tiger-tail Glacier. The area is seldom frequented by boats and is truly pristine with hundreds of harbor seals calling it home. The glacial activity at Chenega Glacier is impressive! From here you can also kayak to Whale Bay. There are some awesome camping spots in the area which we can point out to you on the way. If kayaking amongst ice is what you want - this is the place for you!

Knight Island has some beautiful kayaking with emerald bays, inlets and water ways to explore. Our fishing kayaks are great in this area and you can catch rockfish and salmon in that area. The sea otters and bird life are prolific as well as Harbor seals and Steller Sea Lions. Humpbacked Whales and Orcas frequent Knight Island Passage so keep a look out for them! Return at the end of the day to the comfort of the base camp vessel.
