Aquetec LLC Prince William Sound Lodging offers remote boat based lodging in Prince William Sound aboard our 76 foot Covacevich Trawler which has been outfitted to provide you with unique, comfortable lodging in addition to our custom guided Alaskan wilderness adventures. Our base camp boat is designed to ensure you will experience the real Alaska just like Alaskans do. We cater to small groups, Alaskans, their guests, independent travellers and US military service members. The length of your stay and your itinerary can be customized to fit your desires. Depending on the season, itineraries can include a selection of the following activities: glacier viewing, wildlife viewing, whale watching, kayaking, kayak fishing, naturalist tours and hiking, exploring historical sites, beach combing, fly-fishing, birding, berry picking, salmon fishing, shrimping, skiing and snow shoeing. The all inclusive packages include lodging, meals, transport to the vessel from Whittier Boat Harbor by Whittier Water Taxi and back, as well as the daily activities you choose to do. The R/V Cathy G was built in 1972 in Biloxi Mississippi at the Covacevich Shipyard. The shipyard was started by J.D. Covacevich in 1896 and they built their last vessel in 1982. They continued to do ship repair until 2005 when the shipyard was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. The R/V Cathy G was bought during the big Gulf Coast shrimping boom in the 1970s by Mr. Chencho Garcia and his wife Julia. They named the boat after their daughter Cathy. Matt and Heidi Cline have owned and lived aboard the R/V Cathy G since 2004. You will get to explore Prince William Sound aboard the C/V Bayhawk with Whittier Water Taxi. The C/V Bayhawk is Alaskan built for Alaskan waters, custom designed and built by Bay Weld Services in Homer, Alaska and is especially well suited to ensure you enjoy your adventure activities with a heated cabin and large open viewing deck. We can easily take you to shore where you disembark comfortably with our custom landing gate. 
Advantages of our wilderness packages include the fact that we can explore more area with the smaller vessel which is non-intrusive to the wildlife and is environmentally friendly. The R/V Cathy G is located in areas outside of the commercial fishing districts and out of reach of industrial tourism. We offer a genuine Alaskan adventure facilitating what you want to see and do. Our business is owned and operated by year round Alaskans.
